'Start Static' is the 2001 release from California's Sugarcult. It was their third album and is one that I hold in particularly high regard. It's probably my favourite that the band have recorded to date and is one that I go back and listen to an awful lot. Tracks such as 'Bouncing off the Walls' and 'Pretty Girl' stand out exceptionally well from this album, there are many fine moments here however it is these two that spring to mind first when I think of the 'Start Static' album from Sugarcult. The exams are over, I have scribbled a line to my charming Russian pen friend, I have just heard that I passed grade 7 saxophone, I have just scraped the deadlines for geography, physics and maths coursework and, to use those wise words of Alice Cooper, school?s out for summer.
