Greatest Hits - Simply Red

Rating:
Fronted by charasmatic and striking redhead Mick Hucknall, this is a fine collection of songs which charts their early years up until the mid nineties. On the album: Older treats in the form of 'Holding Back The Years' which never fails to move me, I always think of Only Fools and Horses and the wedding when I hear this one. 'Money's Too Tight To Mention' finds Mick on fine form as he grapples with grittier lyrics and seems to spit the words with glee. One a more lighthearted note, 'Stars' will bring you back down to earth and 'For Your Babies' will make you go 'ahh' and make you want to rush off and start a family. One of the highlights is the number one single ...

Stars - Simply Red I wanna fall from the stars Simply Red have been around for a long long time now but I think their music is still relevant and great. I think they are one of those bands who have fans of all ages due to their easy listening, non offensive type music. Apparently, according to an article I read, Simply Red got their name because it was the lead singer s (Mick Hucknall s) nickname due to his red hair. I never knew this fact but it does make sense! It does always make me laugh though at how he has such good luck with the ladies. I mean, I know he s a big music star and probably has loads of money but he really is rather weird looking in my opinion but ...

When this album came out, the UK was literally going Simply Red mad, It was selling by the bucket load and everyone wanted to sleep with the gorgeous Mick Hucknall. From the minute you pick this up, you will be rewarded with some timeless pop songs and THAT voice. Who are they: UK group who came to fame in the eighties. Fronted by the charismatic redhead Mick Hucknall. Highlights: So many fine moments, but the fiery Something Got Me Started is as good a place as any. A funky pop track with some excellent little hooks in it and a sterling vocal from Mick. It is about someone in Mick s life who manages to ignite his inner passions and make him fall at his knees. He ...
