... remains a really fast song throughout the versus and I think the different in vocals and instruments in this way sound great but really fit together even though you might at first think they wouldn't. My friends over you is the second song off the album and also my favourite. Its got the best lyrics by far of any of the other songs I feel, and it seems to be sung with the most passion as well, there is a really catchy chorus in this song and its bound to make you want to sing along, just a really nice song. Crowned Review Sticks & Stones - New Found Glory: Are YOU ready for a Head On Collision? (2540 words)

It’s nearing the end of the summer holidays, and I’m avoiding the preparation work that the teachers so kindly set us before we all went to flop on our respective sofas (apart from the insane few, including myself, who left before the end of term to go on an expedition to Bolivia and so received the work at the doomed day of reception of results). That, at the outset, appears to have little or nothing to do with this review, but in fact I would like to defend myself here and set out my case. In an ordinary course of events, I have little time betwixt and between working, pretending to be working, thinking about working, and being smug that I’m not working ...  Read the complete review

Sticks and stones is the third studio album by the band new found glory. It was released in 2002, just two years after the their very successful second self titled album. By this time the band were gaining fans rapidly and so there must have been a bit of pressure on them to deliver on this album, and well, im glad to say they did more than that. The first song off the album couldn't kick the album off to a better start. Its got a really good punchy guitar and drum tracks behind the fairly slow in parts lyrics. The chorus give a more melodic feel to this song but it remains a really fast song throughout the versus and I think the different in vocals and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sticks & Stones - New Found Glory: Slightly Bruised and Broken (528 words)

'Sticks and Stones' is the third New Found Glory album and the point at which New Found Glory's sound took a bit of a dip. Actually, that's not entirely true as this album sounds very much like the bands second album; therein lies the problem though. 'Sticks and Stones' was released two years after the bands self-titled second album 'New Found Glory' and is incredibly stylistically similar to its predecessor. This is not a bad album, it's actually a fun release of pop punk; if you own 'New Found Glory' however then you've basically already heard what is present here with the 'Sticks and Stones' album. Twelve tracks feature here, it's a fun pop punk album and ...  Read the complete review

New Found Glory previous to this had released 2 EP's and 2 albums. All had promised much but only delivered a percentage of what was expected. With the release of their 3rd album Sticks and Stones there was a lot of pressure on NFG to make a top quality album. In Sticks and Stones i feel New Found Glory have done exactly what they set out to do and have made a very competant follow up to their Self titled album. First of all the album is much longer, 12 regular tracks, with 2 addition tracks depending on version there is also an acoustic version of a song from the album (Also done on a Finch album re-released on MCA- coincedince?). Also there is a ...  Read the complete review

New found glory: Sticks and stones New found Glory has been together since the middle of 1997 now and they are still amazing. This album Sticks and stones was released in 2002. The RIAA certified it gold on September 10 2002. Understatement 3:11 This is Amazing! The vocals are superb ive never heard better from a punk rock band before. Best beat I have ever heard. Flawless lyrics excellent tempo... what more could you ask for in a song? My friends over you 3:40 Best Track on this album, it also has a good video too! The vocals are sung to the beat so if the beat gets fast so do the vocals. The rhythm is so ...  Read the complete review
