Stiff Records – a name to conjure happy memories of my youth, 2nd in my affections only to the mighty 2-tone. For me this brings back memories of when I used to buy 7” singles – Madness, Belle Stars, Tenpole Tudor – when I loved pop music while it was still a talent contest rather than the beauty contest we have today. So despite being under strict instructions from she who must be obeyed to limit my spending on cds (although I still contend that you can never have too many I couldn’t resist buying this box set For an investment of £24 you get 4 cds with a total of 96 songs by 60 artists plus a short booklet detailing the history of ... Trouble - Ray LaMontagne
His voice
None what so ever
Thunder And Lightning - Modey Lemon
Garage Punk - 2004
These Streets - Paolo Nutini
Soothing melodies, a brilliant voice!
Too few tracks, I want more!
Tangled Up - Girls Aloud
a few phenomenal songs, cheap
a few weaker tracks
Ta Dah! - Scissor Sisters
Wonderful music and entertainment
The long wait to find out how good the 3rd album will be
Star Trek: Insurrection - Soundtrack
Not a terrible effort
But very unremarkable still
Star Trek: Nemesis - Jerry Goldsmith - Soundtrack
Darkly rich music from beginning to end
Only problem is the score has very little to say
Krull - James Horner
Hugely fun early Horner fantasy effort
Experimentalist attitude and not a hugely different sound when compared to Star trek II
American V: A Hundred Highways - Johnny Cash
An immaculate choice of songs, and a heart-rendering vocal performance
None. I really can't think of any!
Moon Of Characith - Black Funeral
May assist your evil rituals, and is genuinely unsettling.
Well, it's not even music, is it? It's not even noise nor ambience neither, it's just sound effects.
