"Strange Days" is the second album released by the band "The Doors". It came out in 1967. Despite good sales, this was never the best selling album and no single really made it top of the charts. My favourite song in "When the music's over" which for many critics already had in itself the elements which would lead to the tragic death of Jim Morrison. There is an eerie feeling along the album,a nd at the same time the great voice of Jim Morrison which breaks it. The full list of the songs is the following. "Strange Days" - 3:11 "You're Lost Little Girl" - 3:03 ... Read the complete review

Three seminal albums came out in the summer of 1967. One was widely publicised, the other two received little mention in the UK. Each broke away from the group's earlier styles. They were Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles, Forever Changes by Love and Strange Days by The Doors. Strange Days is the bands second album. It's weird cover made it stand apart from other records on display - if you could find a shop stocking it then. The back cover shows the dwarf bowing, tambourine in outstretched ... Read the complete review

In fact many of the songs on STRANGE DAYS were older compositions considered for the first release, but don’t let that fool you into thinking this to be a second-rate album. The album gets off to an explosive start with the title track, on which Ray Manzarek shows how to use keyboards on a rock and roll track and Jim Morrison perfects his trademark howl. ‘You’re Lost Little Girl’ is one of the ... Rating:
This album was the second offering from the Doors and it continues to build on the springboard created by them from their first album. The trademark Manzarek keyboard sound is still in evidence and Morrison/Kriegers song writing is just as extravagant. A particularly surreal track is Horse Latitudes, which is a maddening collection of sounds describing how horses used to be drowned at sea by the Spanish. There is nothing particularly new in this album and it continues on much like if it was an extension of the original album. A minor complaint is the length of the album which clocks in just under forty minutes, but as dooyoo members know all ... Read the complete review
