Food And Liquor: Parental Advisory - Lupe Fiasco
by XICripZ - written on 01/05/09 (Very useful, 88 readings)
Rating:
"Lupe Fiasco s Food & Liquor" was the debut album from the Chicago MC, Lupe Fiasco . The Mid-Western Hip Hopper was seen to take great influence form fellow Chi-Town native, Kanye West, who had just made it big at the time (2006) in the fact that he contrasted so greatly from the general Gangsta Rap which dominated the Hip Hop world at the time. 1. "Intro" 2. "Real" After a long introduction from the artist, you have him performing a track which seem to be a recurring thing in the album as you have him do a track which speaks on real-life thing which he has experienced in his life, and going on advise from those around him, he chooses ...

The Cool - Lupe Fiasco
by XICripZ - written on 16/06/08 (Very useful, 101 readings)
Rating:
Hipster Rap style with the track "Kick Push", which showed a new variation in rap which had taken influence from skater lifestyles and Hip hop culture. I only like Lupe Fiasco for his music, because he never seems to do well at any live events and is always seen to be arrogant in everything he does (taking after Kanye), but his style is so fresh that you have to take notice. Kanye and Lupe were part of diving a new Hipster Rap sub-genre to Hip hop which has acts such as The Knux, Kidz In The Hall and The Cool Kids, but neither of them are directly linked to this, it was more them showing that you can do something slightly different to most Hip Hoppers and ...

Products similar to Street Smart - Lupe Fiasco
Awake - Crematory
Strong modern gothic metal album.
Becomes repetitive and a little dull
A-town Secret Weapon - Baby D
Bangers throughout
Nothing specific
Back to the Known - Bad Religion
Glorious return to the older style that still moves forward, with a few early classics.
Only ten minutes long, and some songs are less fun.
Kaleidoscope - Siouxsie and the Banshees - Soundtrack
Great songs
A couple of weaker tracks
Ad Interitum Funebrarum - Argentum
Excellent atmospheric doom/black metal, with a Mexican spin.
Fades to background music if you're not paying attention.
Terrifying! Art of Dying - Balzac
Two albums for the price of one.
Neither is very good, and only seven songs are new.
Symbolic - Death
Superbly crafted death metal compositions, and a spectacular performance all-round.
Songs may be too long or intricate for casual listeners.
Metamorphogenesis - Esoteric
Haunting funeral doom metal that won't bore the patient listener.
Third song is too similar to the second.
Krush Groove - Soundtrack
Soundtrack - 1985
X Japan - Dahlia
Loud, fast metal songs, mixed in with slow epic ballads
"White Poem I" just isn't up to scratch and would have been better left out
