Following on from his huge success with The Stranger, Joel was back in the studio to record another album. You may have expected him to go with the same formula and style of songs, but for this, he is more jazzy than ever and takes on more expansive tunes with some nice lyrics that seem to be thoughtful of the past, but still looking forward to the future, he was young and full of ideas and he shows it here. This was also his first album to top the billboard charts, making it one of his biggest success in his career and listening to this, you can hear why.
