Advantages: Has some great album tracks such as alcohol and neveris enough, still sounds fresh even though I have listened to it alot

Disadvantages: One week can get very annoying

I have owned Stunt since the single 'One Week' was released about three years ago. I loved the song for about three weeks (not the one) until Radio 1 found it necessary to play it every twenty minutes and then I it started to really annoy me. However yesterday, after not listening to the album for a while I unearthed it and decided to give it a spin.

It made me wonder why I had not done it a lot sooner. Ok, so it still opens up with 'One Week' but having not listened to it for a while it was almost back to its catchy best. Now spectics amongst you will probably dismiss them as just another American soft rock act, yet they are in fact Canadian, but is just being pedantic on my part. They are lot more than just another soft rock act like, Hootie and the Blowfish or Sister Hazel, who seem to take themselves way to seriously. The Naked Ladies have a more original quirkiness to themselves. They don't take themselves seriously and they reflect this in their lyrics.

"I could go to Europe, Travel with my friends. I could blow a thousand Deutchmarks to get drunk in a pub with Australians"

So true, and not taking themselves or life too seriously with what they say unlike many bands about today, especially those from over the pond. The album in itself is a strong one throughout, with the most of album tracks standing out a lot further than the two singles released. I throughly enjoyed releasing to this album and am now off to find some more gems that I have callously cast to the back of collection in favour of newer offerings. Stunt is a great album and one that gave the Naked ladies some recognition here in Britain, but in my humble view it doesn't seem enough.
