High Fidelity - Soundtrack

Premium Review Very good but missing some songs! (97 words)
by gchessun - written on 16/10/00 (61 readings)
Rating:

This album is very very good, the only downer is the lack of some of the songs that featured in the film. The film had about twice the amount of songs on this album, but I for one would of liked a double CD of all of the songs, not a small selection of them. Even so, the album is very good, with a good selection of sounds from The Jam to Stevie ...

I have to admit, I don't know much about music in general, but you have to realise when a movie's got a great soundtrack if the audience is reluctant to leave the theatre until the credits have stopped rolling. The CD does not fail to live up to the high expectation set by the movie. After all, a movie set in a record shop could hardly place S Club 7 or A-ha in their top 15 songs to put on a soundtrack album. Particular favourites ...

The stand out track is elvis costelloes version of she. The sound track also includes a few songs which dont appear in the film. A great ...

Great tunes Don't always work together

Unconventional and more refined than the previous album An acquired taste. Sometimes so random/glitchy that there is no cohesion.

8 very good songs Some garbage in between but this is to be expected.

relaxing, intelligent music Not consistant

Some brilliant vocals, Heartfelt lyrics The covers are not 'meant'
