 ... from the 12th August show. These performances show Elvis in fine form. He always had a lot of power in his voice and this power shines through in almost all of the songs on this CD. My favourites are NEVER BEEN TO SPAIN and PROUD MARY, although it is lovely to hear WHAT NOW MY LOVE, MY WAY and FEVER as this season was the first time that Elvis had performed these songs live. Summer 1972 saw Elvis Presley's seventh engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton, where he had been performing regularly since his return to live performance in 1969. This CD, from the Elvis Presley specialist record label FTD, features a performing from 11th August of that year, in addition to a number of sings from the 12th August show. These performances show Elvis in fine form. He always had a lot of power in his voice and this power shines through in almost all of the songs on this CD.
