Superstar Carwash the 4th album by buffalo pop rockers The Goo Goo Dolls is a fine affair, most noticable for it's consistantly memorable songs and youthful energy the likes of which the band have not revisited in there later (more Mature) albums. Reznik and Takac both split the vocals evenly here for what would be the last time befor Rzeznik established himself as the main vocalist and focal point of the band and both sound like they had a blast making this album. From the instant guitar hooks of 'Fallin Down' and 'Girl right next to me' the touching but still rocking 'Cuz your gone' and 'Stop the world' and the raw ballad (and first single) the ... This is the first Goo Goo Dolls album I bought. I was well impressed with it. You could probably class it as soft rock although its pretty Kicking. If you like rock music with detailed guitar work and rhythmic drums this is an album you should well worth consider buying. The music is varied and every tracks different, the singing is good and better than most other bands of the same genre. Although its not at as good as 'dizzy up the girl' the Goo Goo Dolls latest album with the outstanding "Iris" it still provides something to really get your teeth into. ... Read the complete review
