I never really decided what to make of Jessica Simpson. Sometimes I listen to her and think 'wow, she can actually sing'. Other times I think 'dear god, you're horrendous, please shut up'. I will admit I like her second album and listen to it all the time. The third one was terrible and this one's not much better. I think this album is the reason her career never really took off. Too many ballads which sound the same. She didnt grab people's attention and by the time Irresistable came out it was too late. 1. I think Jessica Simpson is a great newcomer among the young female vocalists from the USA. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have already been successful both in the USA and in Europe. Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore have been very succcessful in the USA and now they are climbing on the European charts. Jessica's debut album, Sweet Kisses, contains some pop influences, but it has more ballads and r&b. Sweet Kisses is a quite similar album with Aguilera's debut album. The biggest difference between them is, that Christina's two first singles have been much more pop than Jessica's first single, I Wanna Love You Forever, which is a ballad. ...
