A short E.P. release between full-lengths, 'Symphony of Death' is far from an essential instalment in Grave Digger's discography, but for containing entirely original material it's still an enjoyable bit on the side for fans. Showcasing a slightly slower approach that would be more fully realised on subsequent albums, this is a reasonable bridge between 'The Reaper' and 'Heart of Darkness,' but none of the songs are particularly memorable. The 'Intro' is perhaps my favourite, for achieving the impressive feat of being simultaneously cool and rubbish, a synthesised violin wail that suits the album artwork (but I would be biased, having something of a Grim ...
