The Blink 182 album 'Take Off Your Pants And Jacket' was released in 2001, it was their fifth studio album and is classified 4x Platinum having sold more than 12 million copies worldwide since release. The album took just 2 months to record and in its first week of release sold in excess of 350 000 copies; more than any of their other five managed. It is their second best selling album and is one that I personally am a massive fan of. It's fair to say that the much-maligned world of Punk Rock music has changed dramatically since the infamous heyday of the likes of The Sex Pistols and The Ramones. However, as with most things, the genre was reincarnated and revived in the middle years of the last decade. After the amazing success of ‘Enema of the State’ two years ago, the fun American lads are back once again to show that they are a band to be reckoned with. ‘Take Off Your Pants and Jacket’ is the new album, and I had it delivered on my door a couple of days after release, ordered from CD-WOW.com for just £8.99. I have the limited edition CD, but I know that there are quite a few of them! I think the unlimited version does not have the two bonus tracks, and perhaps the fantastic sleeve the CD comes in. Whilst I have moved onto pastures new in the form of R'n'B and dance etc since purchasing this album in 2001, I could easily roll back the years at any time and put this CD on, listen to it from start to finish, and love evry second of it! The reason for this is because, in all honesty, Blink 182's Take Off Your Pants & Jacket is on the shortlist for one of my favourite music records of all time.
