Advantages: UP BEAT FUN TUNES GOOD FEELING

Disadvantages: for younger generation

Classified as Punk Pop, Blink 182 are the best of the best of their genre. The trio in this album consists of Tom DeLonge (guitar and vocals), Mark Hoppus (bass and vocals) and Travis Barker (drums).

The album itself is the best of all their albums. There are better songs and have a better vibe that come off them. I listened to the album most days for about 3 years when I was younger and still now the songs are easy to listen to.

Almost all the tracks have a brilliant lively optimistic and summer feel to them. They are all good to put you in a good mood and the speed is great for that feel good walking mood. It differs from the previous albums as it has a real feeling they grew wiser and were more in control of how to write very catchy and lovably songs.

The two main singers have very different voices, DeLonge has a more high pitched almost squeaky voice with a strong American accent. A lot of other bands seemed to have copied his style such as simple Plan. Delonges voice is perfect for his style of writing. The songs all revolve around that young teenage sense of love, fertility and just wanting to have fun messing around.

Hoppus' voice is slower and deeper and works perfectly with the slower more meaningful tracks like Stay Together For the kids. The pair alternate singing through-out most of the songs but with DeLonge being the definite front man.

The band has a definite younger feel to it and most of their fans are younger around 12-15 but to be honest as far as that pop band culture go they are far better than most anything after and before them.

The album is one to reminisce to as the lyrics are simple yet effective. Sometimes they are poetic but to the extent that you know you could write it and as a result you feel as though you can connect more so with the band. The guys obviously just want to have a laugh together and it is seen in their videos of the songs with them dressing up as women, men from the 60's ect.

One of the greatest pop punk bands ever to be and ever are. I hear they are back together and would be nice to hear what they have to offer now older and wiser!

Summary: defo something great for your teenage years
