The Fantastic 80's Vol.2
Great tunes to remember
Not all great songs, and not a lot of info on the album from the sleeve
So This Is Great Britain - Holloways
A decent debut of catchy tracks
Won't appeal to many who don't appreciate Indie music
Shakedown - Freemasons
Lengthy track listing with no fillers, good tunes
Still lacks variety
Scouting For Girls - Scouting For Girls
A real fun album
None really
Riders Of The Plague - Absence
Making melodic death metal interesting again.
Still owes its sound entirely to earlier Swedish bands.
Metal Heart - Accept
Accessible pop-tinged metal that still sounds great, with a wide diversity of styles.
Some inevitably terrible, awful songs.
Horrorhammer - Abscess
Fairly enjoyable mix of death metal and hardcore punk.
Hugely inconsistent and lacking in substance.
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix - Soundtrack
A solid, listenable score that is great in the film
But it's all just a bit too anonymous
Capital Gold Eighties Legends
Some great tracks
Some confusing choices
Abydos - Abydos
A great modern metal opera combining the best elements of the style and few of the weaknesses.
The concept and lyrics themselves are far from riveting.
