I bought this album after falling in love with We Found Love. I paid £8.98 for it, which was the average price at the time.
The album features the single We Found Love which features Calvin Harris. The song is a great pop song with a disco feel to it. The pumping background beat really makes you wanna get up and dance. The song is really uplifting and it has a feel good sound to it. It doesn't really sound like something Rihanna would come up with but I love it. You Da One is another good tune on the album. This comes on straight after We Found Love and it's another cool Rihanna style love song. Both songs I have mentioned have been about love but they've mentioned love in different ways. Rihanna explores a lot about love in this album - both the good stuff and the bad.
A few songs towards the end of the album aren't as good as the songs towards the top, however I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are fillers. The album isn't padded in any way as each and every song IS worth a listen. This is a new side to Rihanna and she isn't afraid to say how she feels - notice the parental advisory sticker on the front cover.
I do enjoy listening to this album but due to how honest and frank it is I doubt it'd be to everyone's taste.
Summary: Not her best but not her worst either
