Talk That Talk - Rihanna
Advantages: We Found Love, Talk That Talk, Watch N Learn, Farewell.
Disadvantages: Most if the songs not mentioned in the advantages.
Rihanna is one of the worlds biggest star right now with some huge hits under her belt. But to me it seems Rihanna is in need of taking a year or two out of music to focus on a new direction because it feels like all these years of releasing album after album once a year has finally caught up on her. Im a fan of Rihanna but would love to have something unexpected off her for once. However, it is a pretty OK album.
'You Da One' opens the album and is a pretty descent track apart from its ever so repetitive lyrics and beats. On the plus side, it does get you in the mood for a dance.
The second track 'Where Have You Been' is one of those songs you just cant tell whether you like it or not, when i first heard it i would say i liked it but now it sounds like Rihanna is screeching all the way through, the beats are pretty good though!
'We Found Love' features amazing producer Calvin Harris and is without a doubtthe best song on the album, it has everything that a great dance track need: good beats, brilliant vocals and a nightclub is where this song belongs! Fantastic!
The forth and album titled track 'Talk That Talk' features Jay-Z and is a credit to the album, it seperates the whole boring side of the album and makes you want to dance, her vocals in this song makes us remember why we love Rihanna.
'Cockiness (Love It)' is the fifth track from her sixth studio album and is sexually suggestive, but doesn't give off the same hotness as her previous single from her last album 'S&M' delivered. Its an OK song but nothing special.
The sixth track from the album 'Birthday Cake' is just over a minute long and really doesnt deserve to be on any album never mind Rihanna album.
The seventh track 'We All Want Love' is not a bad song, its aa soft ballad which is always nice from Rihanna. However, some of her vocals are very expectedly placed into some areas.
Eighth track 'Drunk On Love' is another not good song from the album and is not even worth being mentioned.
The ninth track 'Roc Me Out' is similar in beats to previous songs in the album, but has a certain fresh vibe to it that i sort of like.
The tenth track 'Watch N Learn' is a typical Rihanna song, suggestive, sexy, flirty and a genuine fun song. I love it and think it could do very well released as a single
The closing track 'Farewell' is a good song off the album (and no, not because you know its ending in the next few minutes!), its a heartfelt ballad which seems like anyone could relate to.
Summary: Heard worse but bad for Rihanna!
