Nice but dull (Tapestry - Carole King)

Advantages: Couple of nice songs Disadvantages: Mostly tedious
This is one of those old albums that you always remember to be better than it actually turns out to be when you put it on again. 'It's Too Late' and 'You've Got A Friend' are fabulous ditties, but the most of the album just sort of sloshes over you. There's no escaping the fact that this is very safe, inconsequential music; although as I said, you'll remember it more fondly once you've put it away again. Summary: |
