From the opening static sound of first track 'Dirty Needs' right through to the closing static sound of title track 'Telemission' always the album has much to offer the listener. Rating:

The Durango Riot is a four-piece rock band from Sweden, the band combines straight up rock with elements of punk and psychedelic also in order to provide for an extremely full and well rounded sound. 'Telemission' is the bands debut album and was released through Fuzzorama Records on October 8th 2007. For a debut record this truly is excellent, few bands manage to attain such excellence with a first album but always here 'Telemission' is greatly impressive. What I like most about this album is the energy with which the band progresses through the eleven tracks on display here, never is there a dull moment and always in fact the music has much to offer. ...  Read the complete review

Talented progressive metal by-the-numbers. Heard it all before.

There are a couple of remotely interesting moments. Most of the album is despicably dull.

Truly an experience Too much to handle at times

Pop Rock - 2004

Side helping for fans of modern Borknagar, with good vocals and guitar. Less impressive than the primary band.

Classic album, classic British Ska. One or two rough tracks.

Erosion Of Sanity - Gorguts
Creative and extremely compelling death metal. Diversity means that listeners may not enjoy everything.

Domus Mundi - Hollenthon
Ambitious mix of styles that work excellently together. Occasionally fails to cohere.

Renegade - HammerFall
A good slow song, and some catchy choruses. Mostly a less exciting version of its predecessors.

Rheingold - Grave Digger
Great use of orchestration to supplement, great heavy metal songs. Some riffs are very generic.

Excalibur - Grave Digger
Mature perfection of the Grave Digger style. Not as frantic or adventurous as some earlier offerings.

Dark Of Sun - Grave Digger
Strong title track. Average re-workings of weaker old material.

Knights Of The Cross - Grave Digger
Power metal elements add variety. Softer, slower and less exciting than previous albums.

Heart Of Darkness - Grave Digger
Developed and distinctive direction. Some songs still sound average.

The Reaper - Grave Digger
Fine return to form. Achieves nothing new.

Symphony Of Death - Grave Digger
A few more songs for fans. Distinctly average material.
