It has to be said that I'm a little bit pre-judgemental when it comes to artists names and the name Stephanie McKay just sounded like someone who had got success off the back of a reality tv programme and was coming out with her first album of bland pop soul. That's not really the case, Stephanie McKay is from the Bronx in New York has made it through auditioning for various bands and dancing acts over the years. Soul for me is a bit of a minefield as I'm a bit allergic to high pitch wailing and it's something that occurs quite often in this genre.
