"Heavy Cloud" total change of style, instrumentation and emotion. Again ... more ... this is lyrically very well constructed. "She`s too good", heh if she is will I do?!! Well worth a try. Seriously, clever use of a ticking clock as an introduction and fab organ. This is a chaotic, sexy driving song as it opens. The futility of relationships but the attraction, well that`s usually the problem. Clever change about a minute and a half in, change of pace nice use of strings and "classical" music..coming back round to a chaotic end.. great "Seven days" very, very clever. ...more |

This was the first Sting Album that I bought and it is still my favourite. Having been into the Police while I was younger I listened to the Dream of the Blue Turtles and hated it thinking this man who I greatly admired had totally lost the plot. How wrong was I?!!!! The album is exactly what is says, a series of tales all cleverly constructed and with a good combination of styles, instrumental textures and lyrical content. "If I ever lose my faith" is one of the better known tracks which was later included on his "Best of" album. "Love is stronger than justice" sub titled the Magnificent Seven, is a clever ...
