enjoy, and here as he combines Hip Hop and his minimally-explored Rock love here for a big tune. Unexpectedly an Iron Maiden sample is used for this track, shwoing that Lil Wayne is serous about displaying is enoyment for a range of musical genre. Four Stars 8. Lock And Load (feat. Kurupt) Upon reading that Tha Dogg Pound member Kurupt was working on this album, I was excited to hear what he could come on with on a collaboration with a newer Dirty South rapper like Lil Wayne, however I found that it was for from the expectations whihc I had for it. I noticed that T-Mix & Batman attempted to put a little G-Funk in their production with a sample of Kool & the ...

nothing about. I will simply describe the music, the sound and the lyrics, giving a short and succinct over-view of the album to newcomers like me! I came to Lil Wayne at the recommendation of Mcicp, and whilst at first I wasn t that intrigued, this album has grown on me. Lil Wayne s sixth album came out in 2008, and is unlike anything else I ve heard. Musically, the album is solid, with good, simplistic tracks. There s nothing outrageous about the music, with the emphasis on the rap instead. Performance-wise, Lil Wayne s voice is very distinct. It has a very laid-back, chilled almost whiney tone to it, which makes it noticeable right away. It actually annoyed me at ...

instead he went to produce even more material for Tha Carter III. I have to state, before I review the album, that I had not even liked Lil Wayne until very recently after this album was recommended to me as his tracks appeared to be no different to countless others pouring out of America at the moment and the lyrics I had heard had not impressed me. However, after listening to this album, it is clear that where Wayne lacks, he compensates with his ability to stick to the beat, not with his lyrics, but with his style. He just sounds like he belongs on every track and I found that given a few chances, this album really grew on me. * === THa CaRTeR III === Track 1 [3 ...
