The A List is the second installment from a1 following on from Here We Come. They worked with with american producers on this album who had worked with the likes of N'Sync to try and get that edgy feel. It worked as this album had matured so much more than the first album. The first song is Take on Me which is a cover of Aha's version. This became the bands first number one single. A great cover of it, very electronic and poppy. Secondly comes the bands second number one. Same Old Brand New You. Again a very electric sound, starting off very slow then kicking in after Mark finishes his little solo at the start. No More ... The A list is the second of A1's albums the first, which was self entitled didn't do so well and I found it to be full of awful songs. I bought this one a few weeks ago after being reccomended by a friend. It is full of pop songs which is good for A1 because that's what they do best. There are 15 songs on this album, 3 of which have been released and two of those got to number one. This is a good album but don't let the first one put you off if you've heard it. 1. Take on me; This is a cover of an original Take On Me but i've forgotton who sang the original. I like this one and it is one that got to number one. Sometimes I skip it ... Read the complete review

This was the second album from boyband a1. They found success with up-tempo pop songs that were often very catchy and this was heavily reflected in their debut album. This album seems to be more of an attempt to distance themselves from that and demonstrate a different sound. Many of the tracks are still very commercial sounding but in a different way to their previous material. In this review, I'm going to highlight a few of my favourite tracks from the album. ***Same Old Brand New You*** This is the opening track on the album and is one of the most up-tempo tracks. It is quite over-produced and has a heavy backing track that gives it a more contemporary ... Read the complete review

A1: THE A LIST This is the brilliant follow up second album from Here We Come from Ben, Mark, Paul and Christian, who make upthe pop band A1. This album Contains 2 number 1 songs and a top 5 song. There are some killer tracks on this album which, include, Take on me,Same old brand new you and also scared. Most of the songs have been written by the A1 boys, which makes a great change from some pop bands, and they also play there own music. This album is a great blend of pop, R'N'B and also there are some lovely ballards. The songs on the album include:- No More One More Try Too Bad Baby The Things We Never Did Tommorow ... The second installment from the A1 boys, and can i just say that they are probably the most talented of the boy bands out there, maybe not the baest but the most talented. This album opens up with the song that probably made them, the old A-HA song take on me. A well sung and entertaining song to open up the album. I believe that the second song on this album, same old brand new you, also went to number 1 in the british charts, and it too is an up beat good song. No more, one more try and the things we never did are all solid album tracks but too bad baby is another up beat song that i'm suprised wasn't released. Nothing but trouble and ...
