Premium Review The Album - Ultrabeat: COME ON BABIES - JOIN WITH ME AND TAP YOUR FEET TO THE 'ULTR ... (1747 words)

"ULTRABEAT"...Oooh yeah babies, now we're talking! Supporting act to the beautiful dance queen 'Cascada' at Sheffield's University's Octagon Centre late 2007; plus one of the main acts of a 'Clubland 2 Live' concert last December at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena - I was lucky enough to witness the boys (along with their gorgeous female vocalist Rebecca Rudd) both times singing their iconic tunes! Being a true Dance and Trance girl at heart, these are one of my all-time favourite bands; so when I spotted 'The Album' by Ultrabeat in Morrisons less than a couple of months ago for a bargain-tastic £4.99, why I just had to have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The UK's Best Known Dance Act (734 words)

**The Artist/s** Ultrabeat are a UK dance/electronic act from Liverpool. They gained national success and popularity with their catchy summer anthem- Pretty Green Eyes. Over the years the trio have done several pieces of work with the musical mastermind Darren Styles. Since becoming active in 2003, Ultrabeat have gained fans from all ages and background, particularly the clubbing scene, and are still going strong today. Their music has been allocated to several different genres but I suppose that in a way there is a varied mixture as they do experiment with a lot of different sounds and techniques, making them a brilliant mainstream dance act in my opinion! Premium Review The Album - Ultrabeat: ultra fun stuff (198 words)
by - written on 24/01/09 (Very useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

It seems as if Ultrabeat have been going years now. They first shot to fame with the track 'Pretty Green Eyes', which reached number 2 in the charts. They have yet to have a single quite so big, so let's see what is on this album. Tracks: You get all their major hits, 'Pretty Green Eyes' is a eurobeat stormer, the follow up 'Feelin Fine' is more piano driven and also good fun. They up the ante on some of the tracks, the real highlights being 'Sure Feels Good' with soaring vocals from Rebecca Rudd and crank it up even more on 'Elysium'. Thankfully there are no really lame tracks and each one is hooky and has a good riff to it. Good points: Lots of ...  Read the complete review
