All Time Greatest Hits - Elvis Presley

This is the best Elvis Greatest Hits album that I know of. A double CD containing a whopping 45 tracks, it covers pretty much all the bases. As such it's rather better than the recent Number Ones compilation, which only included songs that topped the charts (the Beatles' Red and Blue compilations are better than the "1" compilation for the same reason). The only thing missing from this collection is that 'Little Less Conversation' song that was used in the football advert during the world cup last year. It can be a daunting experience picking up a Elvis best of compilation. Due to RCA exploiting his back catalogue the 1st time buyer is faced with a plethora of Hits sets, Themedalbums (Rocker, Gospel, movie soundtracks) and various other Tat ranging from single CD's with LOADS missing right away up to The Artist of The Century 3 CD box set. This 2-disc set has been deleted but is available used from Amazon UK at a very reasonable price (just over £2). It features 64 classic tracks from the King Of Rock and Roll, spread across 2 discs, and is a good starting point if you are trying to decide whether or not to build up a collection of his music. I've always been a big Elvis Presley fan, growing up his music was on all the time in our house. I like to think I've kept the tradition going in my own family home as my son is a big fan of Elvis too, so he had no problem with putting this Elvis Greatest record on my new MP3 player.
