The artwork on the album is superb, depicting a mythological animal with a lot of legs (I'm not good with the names, if this one even has one!) and strangely enough there is a part about Automatic Writing included in the booklet. Eight amazing tracks, Excellent musicians and the best vocals in heavy metal, Great use of synthesisers to compliment tracks Some may dislike the more epic and melodic departure

The whole album The other three members solo LP's

Hard Rock at its best A little repetitive

Interesting dominance of folk instruments. Brief, and the metal performance is uninspired.

5 tracks that didn't go no album, change of style, Tobias Sammet None

Competent modern thrash. No original ideas, and too much focus on the daft lyrics.

Valiant effort. Sub-par incarnation of the band can't achieve too much.

Hleb - Leningrad
Superb Russian Ska Availability limited

Holy Diver- - Dio
Unadulterated heavy metal with great vocals and memorable guitars. Repetitive structures.

Holy War - Dragonland
More great power metal, effective use of classical instruments in parts. Often sounds like other bands.

Kal - Kal
A sublime fusion of roots and more modern music Not as good as some contemporaries

Killing The Dragon - Dio
Returns to tried-and-tested ground. Fails to live up to the old standard.

Kobzar - Haydamaky
Some superb music The flute on one or two tracks does my head in

Last In Line - Dio
More classic metal, with Dio's best song in the title track. Essentially nine more tracks of the same.

Leave Scars - Dark Angel
A heavier take on eighties thrash. Less memorable than its predecessor.

Lady Of The Lore - Desdemona
Fun power metal. Heard it all before.
