Municipal Waste are great fun, possibly the most fun band in heavy metal at the moment. Another excellent band from Virginia, they're famed for their loud, drunk party feelings at concerts and fans which follow suits. Municipal Waste is the band's 3rd album - the only one I've listened to so far. Lyrically, this is the Beastie Boys one notch up and musically it's similar replacing the hip-hop/punk sound with a crossover between thrash metal and punk. Unlike many hardcore contemporaries - Municipal Waste are devoid of any ridiculous vocals and tend to sound like a mixture of Slayer and Beastie Boys.
