Diana Princess Of Wales: TributeDIANA, Princess of Wales TRIBUTE CD (218 words)
by Ju Lynne - written on 04/07/00, updated on 04/07/00 (Useful, 135 readings)
This Double CD set is a “must-have”! It brings one much pleasure to listen to it, besides being comforting to know that benefits from the CD will ultimately go towards charitable causes. It is a compilation of songs that reminds us of the beautiful princess who died a tragic death, thanks to a foolish, extremist paparazzi chase nearly 3 years ago. Each CD features 18 songs…with music from world-famous artistes, namely Queen, George Michael, Annie Lennox, Pavarotti, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, REM, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Finn, The Pretenders, Rod Stewart, Peter Gabriel, Enya, Barbra Streisand, Red Hot R+B All Stars, Aretha Franklin, Puff Daddy, Celine Dion, Michael ...

“Cold Feet” is a classic television programme, and I always loved the music played throughout the episodes, which is what prompted me to get the soundtrack CD. “Female Of The Species” by Space is the opening track. A great track which brings back a lot of memories. A change of tempo with “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim. I cannot remember this featuring much in the programme, but it is a great song, and a sign that the CD is diverse, and will have something to suit most tastes. “You Stole The Sun From My Heart” by The Manic Street Preachers is one of my favourite tracks on the CD, and a lot of the lyrics are so apt to events from the ...

Dax Riggs perfects his psychedelic style, free from the constraints of Acid Bath.
A little uneven, with the more upbeat stoner rock seeming more like filler amidst the gloom.
