10 years on this is a CLASSIC (The Bends - Radiohead)

Advantages: 1 of the best albums of all time.

Disadvantages: Radiohead started to disappear up there own arse after this.

It's about 10 years now since Radiohead produced their seminal album The Bends. At different periods in my life, The Bends has being there for me. A very personal journey in music, the songs both lift me up and make me think deeply about life. When in on my own, The Bends is what will come out first. On it goes from beginning to end (as evey song is a good), and I often find myself singing along at the top of my voice. (Good job I'm on my own though, as my voice cannot reach those screamingly high notes that Tomm Yorke seems to manage.)

From Planet Telex through Fake Plastic Trees and Blame It On The Black Star right on to the amazing final track (Fade Out) Street Spirit. The emotion that spills out on each any every track can make you weep at times. With screeching guitars and screaming voices, this is truly a work of raw beauty. I know that there have been 35 other reviews on this album, I just wanted to add my piece to the mix.
