Advantages: GREAT GUITAR WORK

Disadvantages: NOT ENOUGH TRACKS

Radiohead's second album titled The Bends is an album filled with inspirational music from the indie rock band.
The album consists of 12 high quality tracks

The highlight of the album for me is HIGH AND DRY. There is great guitar in this song and the chorus just comes to life full of energy. A real good song.

MY IRON LUNG is another song full of energy. The mixture between the guitar and the lyrics is perfect and really builds with great feeling in the song.

JUST is a quality song. The vocals of Thom York are fantastic as he sings with so much passion.

The opening track PLANET TELEX sets the album off in a good direction. What starts as a mean and moody track really kicks into life midway through to get the head going.

STREET SPIRIT ends the album with a real mellow track with the guitars fading out cleverly to bring everything to a close.

THE BENDS, BONES and SULK are not of the qualoty of the rest of the album, but on anothr album would be great tracks such is the quality of the music.

BLACK STAR is a real powerful song that has some amazing lyrics. Once the guitar kicks in it really becomes lifely.

BULLET PROOF... I WISH I WAS is also a fast paced track that really has the great mix of indie ock and mellow guitar combining perfectly.

I found FAKE PLASTIC TREES to be an odd song though once more the lyrics are mesmerising as is York's voice. The same could be said for NICE DREAM which has a haunting sound.

Radiohead are known as a dreary band, as some will have you know. Listening to the lyrics and the great guitar work, you get to understand how great their music sounds. The front cover of the album is also legendary with the blurred photo of Thom York. The only negative is I wish their were more songs on the album.

From 6.08 at Amazon this is an album that will go down as one for the ages.

Summary: THE BENDS STAYS STRAIGHT TO THE TOP!
