I am not a huge fan of compilation albums, as I always find that one half of the collection is significantly weaker than the other, and I always feel a bit cheated. However, there was a prize draw at work last week before Christmas, and I was a lucky winner, and this compilation CD was my prize. Not bad considering one of my colleagues won some shuttlecocks! Until last night, I had not even unwrapped it, but had the house to myself and decided to have a listen to it whilst enjoying a soak in the bath. The 2 CD's provide you with approximately 2 and a half hours of pretty good rock music, which I am sure sound better the higher the volume. I like my neighbours, so it ... Read the complete review

Just like every other embarrassing dad on the planet, I am no stranger to an air guitar and have picked one up on many an occasion. This album (The Best Air Guitar Album In The World...ever Vol.1) gives me an excuse to pick it up and forget to put it down and unlike other compilation albums you will struggle to find a weak link anywhere. So for effect I will reach down now and grab my air guitar, stick this album on, bang out a few riffs then return to write more.............. Ok it is now one hour later and my arm hurts from strumming my strings but I am here with my favourite tracks fresh in my mind and ready to tell you lot all about them and why you should ... I am not known for reaching for my air guitar, possibly because I don't have one. Not even an air one! But I do like this kind of music, it provides a welcome break from the monotony of today's stagnant chart climate. Spread over two discs, the CD comprises 41 tracks which are designed to make you leap up and think you're in a rock band. It gets off with Queen's 'We Will Rock You,' Mercury's voice growls like a panther and the guitar work here is electric. The chorus anthemic and manly and it is basically is a song for men to be men. 'Song 2' by Blur is less than two minutes of fiendishly good shouting and throwing yourself about. Damon Albarn is ... Read the complete review

I first saw this advertised on television a few months back. It showed some samples, and I thought excellent! It was just what I'd been looking for. I went out and bought it on the weekend, for £15 I believe, I thought this was excellent value, as it contains 41 tracks! Thats about 37p per track ;) I first put it in the CD player and I was really impressed. It contains all the classic Air Guitar tunes, from Queen and Deep Purple, to the more modern bands like Metallica and Weezer. It combines all the tracks beautifully, from the quite relaxed such as Summertime Blues by Eddie Cochran, to quite hard rock, such as For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica, while ... This is the best compilation of air guitar ever! You may think that a strong comment for my first sentance, but you need to hear it to believe it. At this precise moment of time I am listening to 'For whom the bells toll' by Metallica on the 2nd CD. The two Cd's are full of quite brilliance by great bands dating back to the likes of Chuck Berry from 1958 to a more recent Wheatus and Foo Fighters. CD1 A great CD on its own, let out with an amazing 2nd CD. CD1 features the likes of Queen with 'Tie your mother down' Foo Fighters with 'monkey wrench' it has Rainbow 'since you ve been gone' Blur 'song 2' the song that there ... Read the complete review
