Part 3 in a never ending series! The Best Dance Album In The World Ever CDs found themselves in many homes a few years ago, though now they have been replaced and superseded by the Clubland albums, which is a shame. The concept of these albums is to gather as many massive dance hits as possible and spread them over two discs.

On this one, we get forty tracks and we are get off to a riveting start with the amazing 2 Unlimited who deliver a knock out anthem with 'Let The Beat Control Your Body'. Anita provides a cool vocal while Ray turns in an assertive rap.

Not so keen on Soul 2 Soul's 'Get A Life' which is nowhere near as classy as 'Back To Life' and is too melanchonic in the chorus. I also don't like D-Ream's 'Things Can Only Get Better.' I blame New Labour! Much better is the smooth vocal from Toni Di Bart. 'Real Thing' gave him a number one hit and the song is an understated classic. I also adore the zany vocal from Mad Stuntman on Reel 2 Real''s 'I Like To Move It' which always has me leaping around.

Some iffy ones in the form of East 17 and CJ Lewis, not strictly dance, they stick out a bit and could easily have been replaced with a couple of house anthems. Check out the eurobeat madness from Haddaway and Maxx, with epic chunky synth riffs and hook laden choruses which will cause you to explode with glee.

The Goodmen's drumfest 'Give It Up' is for those who like it a touch harder and if you want some Scottish hardcore, then The Time Frequency drum up some 'Real Love' with a rip roaring techno offering.

Sadly, more misfires in the form of Aswad, Doop and the B52's spoil the second disc. The B52's is not dance music and whoever put them on here needs their head examining. Quibbles aside, there are enough good memories on here to rouse a night of clubbing in anyone.
