Advantages: Great music from great films; ideal for people of all ages!

For me, the songs and music often make the difference between a good film and a magical film, and this is where Disney is so strong; they not only produce amazing stories, but also beautiful music to accompany them, which make their films so enchanting and timeless.

I received this CD for Christmas last year (I had bought the very same one for my Disney-mad friend and had lamented not having a copy myself, which my mum obviously picked up on!), and it was such a fantastic gift! I love it, mainly because it is such a complete collection of Disney songs from early films such as Snow White, up to recent ones such as Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as songs from films such as Hannah Montana and programmes like That's So Raven, although I'm not keen on these. That said, of course Disney are always producing new films and music, which means the CD is already out of date! However, it will never cease to be a great CD, and a great start from which to build upon...

There may be some songs here which I'm not particularly bothered about, and could think of better ones to take their place, but I believe this CD does its best to please everyone, and there really is something for everyone. Our personal favourites are the Pocahontas ones, Pirates of the Caribbean one and I love The Lion King ones and The Lilo and Stitch ones...actually there are too many to mention!

With 3 discs of 75 songs this is 3 hours, in total, of music, and the CD can be bought from HMV for £9.99 and from Amazon for £8.48, which is a bargain for 3 discs of good quality music; great for children and adults alike! What's also good about these discs is the universal nature of them, ideal for long drives in the car no matter what the span of ages in the group. We also found it great for travelling to Disneyland Paris!

The cover is nice and colourful with various Disney characters on the front, and comes with a booklet detailing the writers and performers of the songs, etc.

Therefore, I really have to give it 5 Dooyoo points, as it really is top quality, with all the original recordings from the films. The only song it really misses for me is 'This Is Halloween' from The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it does have 'What's This?' from the same film, which compensates! A great buy for Disney fans...
