Advantages: OK if you like 70's music

Disadvantages: very dated

They didn't last very long but Culture Club are typical of seventies style music. This album is all their greatest hits but I don't remember there being too many of those.

'Do you wanna hurt me?' was a catchy tune and the lyrics were simple enough for everyone to remember. They weren't a patch on 'Karma Chameleon' which really 'did it' for the glamourous Boy George. The lyrics were two lines which continuosly repeated themselves.

Boy George appears on the album cover in all his finery. He did usually appear decked up in 'frillies' and his Mum's makeup! However, it was Boy George who made Culture Club famous. Without him I don't thin the group would have succeeded.

Apart from the two tracks already mentioned, Culture Club Hits Album has nothing much to recommend it. The music was synthesised and Boy George try as he might, never quite made it as a singer!
