From being a small child, my earliest memory is sitting with my Dad listening to "747" by S Saxon and many other 70 s rock/metal groups, as I was born in 1976, my younger days were filled with music as both my parents felt the need for their children to appreciate music and not watch so much television. Wheels of Steel is S Saxon s second album and was released in 1982. It is often considered their best work, the band have recently undergone a boost in popularity and are regularly touring again, one very noticeable difference on this album is the youthful theatrical vocals of Barnsley born Biff Bryford which are so high at times they would put Bruce Dickinson in the baratone category!
