'The Big Dirty' as an album is as fitting as its title suggests. Packed with hooky southern riffs and more brilliant writing from vocalist Keith Buckley, the album continues to build on where the band left off with previous album 'Gutter Phenomenon'. Opening with a typical ETID flavoured riff, 'No Son of Mine' is a brilliant track, possibly up there as one of the best tracks in the band's catalogue. Repeating a single guitar riff has never sounded so good, but when mixed with Buckley's calculated vocal delivery it is more than effective.
