The years have been good to these guys. They've grown into themselves and their talent as artists. No longer are they just about the marketing machine, but their vocal abilities and strong track choices. With production on a number of tracks by RedOne (Lady Gaga, NeYo, Colby O'Donis) and Timberland, as well as the guys themselves, they have nurtured the sound and done it right, putting the music first above all else. Teaming up with hot artists like NeYo, Lady Gaga, Akon & The Pussycat Dolls, Donnie, Danny, Joe, Jon & Jordan have moved away from solely 'boy band' and have achieved a respectable place in the 2008/2009 world. Back in the 1990's, New Kids on the Block were the first boy band and boy were they good. They consisted of Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight. They produced album after album of catchy pop tunes and enjoyed huge success. Then they split up and went there separate ways to pursue individual projects whether it be acting or solo careers. In 2008, they announced that they would be reforming and producing a new album. But would the 5 boys but just as good now that they had grown up. The Block is the fifth studio album by New Kids on the Block. The album was released on September 2, 2008, along with a 2 Disc Deluxe Edition.They had initially said the album would be very different and they were not kidding this the first album I have heard from them but singles in the past have not had such an Rn B influence.An example of this is one of the singles features a song with Neyo called Single and another from a up incoming star lady Gaga called big girl Now.
