Advantages: Best Take That Album Ever!

Disadvantages: None!

This is my favourite Pop Groups latest Album and boy is it a great one. I received this album, as a gift from my hubby, the very first day it was released in the shops back at the end of November 2008. I really was excited when I first received it and I had to put it on my CD player straight away, as I could not wait to hear what my favourite group had newly recorded on this album. Well I can tell you that I really was impressed with every single song. All of the songs are all unique and really different. The lyrics are outstanding and the singing voices are note perfect, as usual, with these four hunks. I really think this is an fantastic album produced by Take That and possibly, one of the best ones, they have made so far.

This new Album "The Circus" by Take That reached number one in the album charts in the UK in just under one week. It was the fatest selling album ever in the UK and the biggest selling album of 2008. Well of course it is "Take That" we are talking about here, so that is hardly surprising is it.

The Circus has twelve tracks listed on it and it also has a lovely little hidden track at the end of it for fans. To date only one track has been released into the music charts and that is the number two track on the album, which is called "Greatest Day". This song went straight to number one in the UK and stayed there for one week, only to be knocked off it, by Leona Lewis. Take That plan to release a second song from this album soon, but I am not saying what it is to spoil your surprise.

The Circus album has a great mix of ballads and gently sang love songs to catchy little party tunes. I really love all the songs alot on this album and the piano and orchestral sounds that are played in the background. It is a great mix, of unique new songs, that really are very professionally sang by all four of the boys. Take that write all their own music and it is a great pleasure to listen to the lyrics of these songs. It truely is an outstanding album in my opinion.

Cover And Inlay.
The front cover of "The Circus album is really very nice. It features, Mark, Jason, Howard and Gary all walking on tiperope wires with their arms in a lovely pose, for balance I guess. They all look incredible and hunkier than ever on it. All their photographs are set onto a lovely blue sky background theme, that is very cleverly done. Across the top of the front cover the words "Take That" and "The Circus" are printed on in white lettering. The front cover really looks well.

The back and inlay to The Circus album have all twelve tracks clearly printed onto a continued sky theme, like the front cover. Everything is clearly marked and all the tracks running times and a little about them all, can be read on the inlay. A great Cover and inlay, that is very eyecatching indeed.

Track Listings:
(1) "The Garden" - 5:07
(2) "Greatest Day" - 3:59
(3) "Hello" - 3:31
(4) "Said It All" - 4:16

(12)"Here" - 8:00
There is also a lovely hidden track not stated on this album called "She Said" and it is 2.33 minutes long and is a great hidden one indeed.

A little bit about all twelve tracks.
"The Garden" Well in my opinion this is the best track on this whole album. It is absolutely beautiful. It starts off with beautiful piano music softly playing and then Mark Owen begins to sing. He tells his story in this song and then Gary Barlow joins in beautifully. The song gets faster and Jason Orange sings his bit and then Howard Donald Blasts into the chorus. What a song. It is amazing! Really amazing! The story is beautiful to this song also and it tells a story about living the life we have been given and beleiving in ourselves. This songs lyrics make me want to cry. I just love it so much and could listen to this track over and over again. It is beautiful. One of the best Take That songs ever in my opinion.

"Greatest Day" This is another great track from "The Circus". I love this song a lot but it is not one of Take Thats better songs in my opinion, even though it got to number one. It does have great lyrics to it and it is sang together by all four of the band. It tells the story about holding on to the greatest day of our lives. It has lots of guitar and keyboards playing through it. It a good catchy tune and a worthy number one.

"Hello" This is another catchy little tune sang at the start by Mark Owen. He tells about taking time to say "Hello" to people. It has lots of big band music going in the background of it. The other three boys in the group do all the backing singing to this lovely catchy little tune. It reminds me a bit of their Hit single "Shine" a little. Overall a great tune from the boys.

"Said It All" This is a great song from this album. I really love it. Gary Barlow starts this song of with his angelic voice and piano music. It starts softly and gets louder and faster to be joined by the other three boys. Mark Owen sings by himself, right at the end of it beautifully. This song tells the story of saying nothing at all and having heard enough about having arguments. It really is a lovely song, that I am very pleased with on this album. The tune is very catchy and will have you singing along to it.

"Julie" I love this catchy little tune sang mostly by Mark Owen on this track. It is a lovely love story song about having love for a girl named "Julie. The rest of the boys do the background singing for Mark Owen really well. The music has a lot of guitar and eltro sounds to it. I really love this track on the Circus album a lot and hope the boys release it into the charts.

"The Circus" This song has the same name as this album and it's a great one in my opinion. It starts of with Gary Barlow playing the piano beautifully as he does. He is telling the story about his girlfriend leaving him and him looking like a circus clown, hence the name circus I think. It is a beautiful love song sang by gary. The lyrics are beautiful and really meaningful also. The rest of the boys do a little background singing. This is one of the best tracks on this album in my opinion. It is just beautiful.

"How Did It Come to This" This is another catchy tune. It starts of with guitar music and Jason Orange (Yes! Jason Orange) singing at the start. He really does a great job of it and his voice is brilliant. This is a very catchy tune about getting into a mess in a relationship and with life. The chorus is a great blast of "How did it come to this" sang by all the members of Take That. I really love the guitar music playing through this track. This track is excellent. I love it.

"Up all night" This is another singalong tune that is slightly different for a Take That style, but it is a great track on The Circus album. It is sort of country sounding at the start and there is trumpets and lots of big band instrumental music through this. Mark Owen sings a lot of this song but Gary, Jason and Howard all sing there bits also. This song tells a story of being tired of waiting around and being up all night for a long lost love. This tune is excellent, well sang and has great background music to it. This is high on Take Thats list of top tracks in my opinion.

"What Is Love" This is a lovely quieter ballad from the boys. It is really beautifully sang by Gary Barlow at the start who means everything he sings. He really is outstanding in this track. He then gets acompanied by the rest of the band. It is a true love song that had me in tears when I first heard it. It also gives me goosebumps when ever I hear it. It is absolutely beautiful. This is one of the best love songs I have ever heard. I cannot believe Take That have sang this like this. It is outstanding. It asks the story of "What is Love". You really have to listen to this track to get where I am coming from. This song is just amazing, beautifully sang and makes the hairs on my arms stand up.

"You" This is another beautifully sang song which starts off with Gary Barlows great voice singing about loving someone "You" The lyrics are excellent in this track and there is lovely orchestra music playing in the background of it. The rest of the group do backing singing for Gary in this other amazing track by Take That on this album.

"Hold Up A Light" This starts of with the ochestra playing and Mark Owen singing about him going to watch someone on stage and watching them. He sings "Hold Up A light For Me" This is a really lovely tune indeed. The rest of the group do backing singing for Mark owen. The end of the song slightly chages to go softer and then gets much faster and louder. It is another different type of track to this album that is a great one.

"Here" This song starts up with the guitar and Gary Barlow and Jason singing. It is a softer track at the start and the voices all sound great together in this and blend really well. It is a lovely tune to this track and very soundtracky in my opinion. The song is about having everything that means something special to you and having them "Here". It is anothr lovely song to the circus album that I love.

"She Said" This is a very old sounding sixties style tune. It reminds me of being on holiday or a hot summer day. It is a really catchy song that Take That should have included on this album and not have hidden away. It tells the story of my life and being down until a girl says "she wants to dance" It is mostly sang by Gary Barlow and Mark, Jason and Howard do all the backing singing beautifully on this track.

Overall Opinion Of The Circus Album.
This album is just amazing. It is another great album by Take That that I really love. I actually think it might be the best album they have ever made. This boy band just get better and better. Every single one of these songs are brilliant and they all have great lyrics to them and they all tell a great story indeed. The background music to the tracks is all very beautiful and sounds great also, from pianos duets to full blown orchestra sounds. The Circus album is a real mix of music, that has me crying and dancing and I am really overall astounded by some songs on it. My favourite track from The Circus album is "The Garden" There is just something about this little song that I love and touches my heart. I really would highly recommend this album to everyone that loves Take That, as this one will not let you down on great songs and lyrics. It is a carefully selected group of songs, in my opinion, to suit everyone, because it really is a unique mix of styles. Well I am extremely pleased with this album and have it playing on my PC everyday. Take That just keeps getting better and better and long may it last. Welldone boys!
