'You Came' is a splendid synth driven pop song and was one her biggest hits. I also rate 'Never Trust A Starnger' with its knowing lyrics and thunderous rhythm, it will have you itching to dance. Kim also shows her tender side with the heartwrenching 'Four Letter Word' one of her more refined moments that capturse her delicate vocals superbly. Critique: It might...more

Premium Review The Collection - Kim Wilde: she came! (234 words)

Rating:

One of my favourite female singers from the eighties, this album gathers some of Kim's biggest hits and gives you the chance to relive those glorious pop moments. Who: Initially a wild punk kid with attitude, before taming herself and becoming a staple part of the eighties brat pack along with Kylie and Jason. On this album: 'You Keep Me Hanging On' might well be a cover, but she pulls it off with bravado. An energetic europop workout which builds and builds. The vocalist has an amazing voice! none really

The Stranglers of course!, Well constructed, musically, The start of great things Hmmm...

Songs all cohesively flow, some monsters of tunes. Too Short? maybe.

An interesting and highly atmospheric selection of songs displaying different sides of Agalloch. With only five songs, the weaker ones are more of a problem.

Clear desire to experiment, and a slightly improved folk-rock angle. Too many songs sounding much too alike.

Gentle, tuneful, experimental, relaxing, thought provoking,Lyrically sophisticated, just brilliant. Mellow album which some may dislike, but I think this is what makes it so poignant.
