... Pantera or the older Fear Factory or Machine Head stuff than with the current crop of pretenders flooding the airwaves with singalongs for 12 year old kids to rebel to. In fact, if I had to name the band that Dry Kill Logic sound most like, it's 'Burn My Eyes' era Machine Head. And thank God for that. 'Nothing' kicks off with a slow bassline before exploding into a fresh sounding, catchy and original song. And at the end he screams like he's being shafted by an elephant. Disturbing...more

Premium Review The Darker Side Of Nonsense - Dry Kill Logic: These Guys Are Simply Filled With P*** & Vinegar (375 words)

Welcome back folks to another opinion from the Biological One but yet again he has opted for a different style after trying the overly friendly formal op and the comparitive op. Before I get into my first opinion for well over a month I would just like to say a bit (now there's a surprise). This opinion is on the controversial Metal band Dry Kill Logic and I have decided to use a more professional newspaper style review, so see what you think and enjoy! Hardcore New York rockers Dry Kill Logic, formerly known as Hinge, return with some heavy duty rock for today’s hard rock scene. Theses guys are simply filled with piss and vinegar firing a brutal ...  Read the complete review

There are definetely some killer tracks on this album. If you've only heard one then the chances are it was 'Nightmare' which is really good but not the strongest track on here by a long shot. 'Pain' thunders along with a catchy -almost Sepultura like- riff before flooding into a singy chorus which, thankfully, doesn't reek of commercial Nu metal by numbers crap. In fact, nothing on this album really sounds commercial. Strange, for a band that have been tagged with the dreaded Nu-metal label. This stuff has more in common with da Seps, Pantera or the older Fear Factory or Machine Head stuff than with the current crop of pretenders ...  Read the complete review

The 4 from Westchester have certainly started off on a good note with this great album - even though while recording it they still held down jobs, so had to do all the recording at night which took months. Down Kill Logic (formally Hinge) are a mix of Slipknots drumming and shouting and Korns catchy tunes and good lyrics which is a great mix. The 4 members are Cliff Rigano, Scot Thompson, Dave Kowatch and Phil Arcuri. The Album starts with Nightmare then Feel the Break and then dives straight into a loud and fast beat song Pain. My favorites are Weight and Rot, I like Weight as it starts quite then goes straight into heavy metal music which makes you want to get ...  Read the complete review

Dry Kill Logic - The Darker Side Of Nonsence Dry Kill Logic's theme of anger is evident in both the music and the lyrics, looking at the way small annoyances in life can build into huge frustrations. musically, we're talking in-yer-face heavy metal anthems and a touch of tribal metal, a la Sepultura. it's yet another superb, stoming slice of rock which hits the metal spot perfectly.
