I like such a wide variety of different types of music, from trance, to cheesy pop to R n B. My all time favourite R n B / Hip Hop artist is Eminem. About Eminem Eminem was born Marshall Bruce Mathers and before he made his face famous all over the world as the biggest selling white rapper, he used to be in a band called D12. It was while he was in this band, that he, along with the other band members created alter ego's for themselves. This is how Eminem was born, it actually comes from the fact that initials are MM. He also sometimes refers to himself as Slim Shady. Eminem is now the classed as one of the highest selling rap artists of all time, ... Read the complete review

The Eminem Show Released in 2002, this is one of Eminems strongest albums, it sold over a million copies in its first week of release and is Eminem singing and rapping about his life, from his popularity with some and lack of with others through his divorce, his personal feuds and his love for his daughter, this is a man basically laying himself bare, by the end you can see why he wanted the break from music he alludes to so often, he has basically given his life to music as entertainment and probably decides to have time for his family. The album has some highlights including White America, Cleaning out my Closet and Hailies song, but there are ... Read the complete review

After two notable and successful albums, Eminem has become a huge household name, and with his third effort, The Eminem Show, he attempts to up the ante even more and show just how clever and daring he can be. Whilst this isn't as edgy as his previous album, and he seems to have gotten a little complacement, it's still a solid outing and has plenty of catchy and hilarious tracks on, as well as the requisite skits. The album begins with White America, a look at the pale underbelly of the US (no pun unintended!). Eminem's vocals are a lot more booming than usual here, but he soon enough dives into a scathing satire on the state of the country. We also ... Read the complete review

Having recently reviewed the Marshall Mathers LP I feel I can swiftly move onto another very good album by Marshall Mathers, more widely known by his nicknames Eminem or Slim Shady. This was Eminem's third commercial release and also his third straight album to win the best rap album Grammy and personally I feel this is fully justified, however the big question was whether he could match or even surpass the hugely popular and controversial Marshall Mathers LP. I will come back to this topic a little later. This album has been certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA and has sold over a highly respectably 19million albums worldwide. This is no mean feat and ... Oooh! I LOVE this album! I play it at least once a day - I want to have its babies! (HUH?!) No, seriously, this is an outstanding album from our Marshall Mathers, the third in his "trilogy" (Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP and this). This was released last year (2002) on Aftermath/Interscope Records and I reckon it's destined to become a classic. Admittedly some people are surprised that I'm such an Eminem fan being pretty much a confirmed old Punk/Rock/Britpop chick and most rap/hiphop music leaves me totally cold but there is something different about Eminem. I love his clever and/or amusing lyrics, sometimes poignant, often realistic, ... Read the complete review
