The third album from Massachusetts melodic metallers Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache. Released in 2004 it reached 21 in the U.S Billboard 200 selling over 35,000 copies in its first week. It was the first album to feature new vocalist Howard Jones, after the depature of their previous vocalist Jesse Leach in 2002. However Jesse still provided addition vocals for "Take This Oath". Completing the Killswitch line up are band members ; Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel (guitars), Mike D'Antonio (bass) and Justin Foler (drums). Tracklisting ; 1. Killswitch Engage are a Metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts. The members of Killswitch came together after a couple of bands from within the Massachusetts Metalcore scene split up. The remaining members formed KSE. With Howard Jones on mic duties, Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel sharing guitar responsibilities, Mike D'Antonio on Bass and Justin Foley on Drums. The combination of these 5 awesome talents is an incredibly varied sound. 'The End of Heartache' has some very good tracks of heavy yet melodic gems. In its first week of being released it was poseded at 21 on the billboard 200 plus it was nominated for a grammy award in 2005. This is a cross between in flames and any hardcore act you can think of and along comes metalcore! This is perhaps the best metalcore has to offer. Roaring vocals of howard Jones crushing and destructive guitars and then the most beautiful guitar lines ever written. This is what makes killswitch fantastic. There are also many blastbeats and breakdowns within the songs Which is pretty cliche within the metalcore genre but killswitch pass this with ease because they are the best within there ...
