The Predator - Ice Cube
by XICripZ - written on 28/08/09 (Very useful, 38 readings)
Rating:
Five Stars 9. "Fk Em" (Lude) 10. "Dirty Mack" This one really takes you back in time as you see that with this one Ice Cube rides a variety of seventies Parliament grooves. It is a funky joint and I felt that it was constructed well as you find that it is themed and it makes for a well-rounded tune to show that there s more than the typical Gangsta Rap in his music. Five Stars 11. "Don t Trust Em" With this on you find that the sort of content which was found on the tune prior to this is brought up once more for this one as he gets down to one where the attention stays with the girls and he is able to come with rhymes which have ...

Death Certificate - Ice Cube
by XICripZ - written on 04/07/09 (Very useful, 47 readings)
Rating:
Stars 18. "Doing Dumb St" Here you have a massive lift in the way that things are doe as you get a joint with uplifting beats which find Ice Cube and the Boogiemen collaborating on the production. It is a freaky little one, and has him talk about his younger yeas, as he describes what he used to get up at those times, and how it has influenced the way he chooses to live his life now. It is a funny one, and really stands out. Five Stars 19. "Us" Here you have one which finds Ice Cube rapping to show that he really knows who he is as he traces back his own personal history, and talks to the young ones about what it truly means to be black, and how ...

Amerikkka's Most Wanted - Ice Cube
by XICripZ - written on 04/04/09 (Very useful, 91 readings)
Rating:
"AmeriKKKa s Most Wanted" was released in 1990, and came as the debut solo album from Ice Cube . The West Coast rapper had just split from his group, N.W.A , and had chosen to record this one off the hype of this situation. Clearly, based on the mis-spelled title, this one indicates that he is getting rather political with this recording, whilst still retaining his Gangsta Rap side. 1. "Better Of Dead" (Intro) 2. "The N*a You Love To Hate" To start the thing off you have the rapper getting straight into some hardcore material as he just rips through everything to show that he simply doesn t care what people think of him, and he will do ...
