All That Remains are rapidly becoming one of my favourite metal bands. Whether this is because i am drummer and the drumming on this album is insane, or whether i simply love there music, i can still say they have produced potentially their best album in The Fall Of Ideals. Some of the songs really stand out to me as brilliant, such as This Calling, Six, Not Alone and The Air That I Breathe. Mainly because even though the vocals are predominantly screaming, the chorus' contains some of the best singing ive heard, therefore making the vocal range of the singer fantastic. The headline of this album however has to be the drumming. The start to 'This Calling', well if you listen to it youll know what i mean, is just insane and the continuous double pedalling carries on through most of the songs, without the drummer even looking tired. The vocals on The Air That I Breathe are just astounding and really make this album a real gem.
