A good debut album (The Futureheads - Futureheads)

Advantages: Strength in depth

The Futureheads debut album really captures the imagination with something a bit different from other bands currently around. They have more of a rough style with the singing being across between singing and talking . They back all this up with a strong guitar sound with drums in the background keeping a good beat.

The songs all have a fast beat and the lyrics are interesting and quite catchy with most of the songs having a chorus that will stick in your mind.
The album starts off strongly with the songs 'Le Garage', 'Robot' and 'A to B' these all sound fairly similar but 'A to B' is a bit slower and contains slightly more melodic sounds than the other two songs but only slightly.

The rest of the album also keeps the standard fairly high with all of the songs capturing the imagination of the listener, most of them have work related and other life issues in the lyrics.

One of the best albums on the album is 'Decent Days and Nights' its more thought out than the other songs and it contains the brilliant lyrics 'This is a brand new problem, a problem without any clues/ If you know the clues it's easy to get through' This is one of my favourite songs on the album and is very catchy and a bit less heavy than other songs on the album.

I would recommend this album to most people however it may not suit some people as it all tends to sound a bit the same in the end.
