Since 1994 now Bowling For Soup have been dazzling us with their Pop Punk glory. The key to success in this genre seems too be that you should never take yourselves too seriously, and Bowling For Soup never even come close to seriousness on this album. Throughout the whole of this album the band are just as nerdy as we've ever known them before and this is just the way that I'd love them to stay. Bowling for Soup first came to most people's attention in this country with the catchy 'Girl all the Bad Guys Want' back in 2002, and then pretty much disappeared again from the mainstream, where they remain to this day. However they retain a solid fanbase in the UK (their tours tend to sell out, although they tend to play mid sized venues rather than arenas!), and I think that their tongue in cheek pop rock has never been better than on this album, their seventh to date, although it does lack a real killer single in the mould of some their earlier offerings. I've seen them in concert 4 times and I decided to write this review on their last album as i've just received my tickets to go see them again October. Great Burrito Extortion Case was released by Rock Punk band Bowling For Soup in 2006, this is their most recent album and was their 5th album released overall. Bowling For Soup have a really happy and humourous take to Punk Rock and most of their songs have some kind of comedy in them and most songs are about relationships that just didnt work out, they are a great band to listen too to brighten up your mood if you are into their kind of music.
