With his first three albums all coming in rapid succession between 1998 and 1999, DMX took his time in creating his fourth; "The Great Depression", in 2001, in which he chose that to some degree, the liveliness of his third album should be cut short in order to return to his hardcore beginnings, which actually began as early as 1992. 1.
