Advantages: Damn fine music
Disadvantages: Not one for yer granny
Aaaaaaaaaah ! Once again, i'm back with another wicked clown review, why ? Coz nobody else listens to 'em, shame on you all ! This album is the previous album to "The Amazin' Jeckel Brothers", and is slightly more mellow. Having said that the language is just as strong and the boys prove to be just as offensive as ever. Just in case anyone was wondering, (probably not), or even reading this review, (unlikely), i just wanna say a big thank you to Big Dennis, as he got me into this unknown and rather bizarre band, best thing you did for me Den, if i convert but one person to be an ICP fan then my work is done and the word has spread. Anyway i digress, here is a run through of The Great Milenko: Intro, The sound of rednecks in a bar listening to the good ol' boys or some sh*t, next thing the Jukebox goes off, a strange and eerie voice comes from the machine, warning of the 6 faces of the dark carnival and the death and destruction which will ensue following the final albums creation. The needle then sticks on the word Milenko, a redneck trucker can be heard "gotta get this damn Jukebox fixed" and much slapping of the machine follows. Great Milenko, The title track kicks straight in with the usual dark carnival music but cheerily upbeat, "Abracadabra boom shakka day, i'm Voilent J and i'm back like a vertabrae". Much swearing and cursing follow but the track basically lays homage to Milenko, who is made out to be a master magician if not some kind of genie ! Hokus Pokus, carries on with the magical Milenko theme with such great lyrics as, "I met Milenko he gave me three wishes, that night, i f*cked three fat b*tches". The clowns have apparently always had an infatuation with the larger lady. Again Milenko is reveared as a true magical master who demands nuff respect ! Piggy Pie, the clown are down with the nursery rhymes for this track, this
is there version of the three little pigs, the difference being that it's a juggalo that's hunting and killing them, not some crappy wolf. (is anybody still actually reading this?) How Many Times ?, The boys express there hatred of the mundane and knob heads in cars it seems. By the way all these tracks so far are, believe it or not, excellent background music. As the beats chug on cheerily and without actually listening to the lyrics they sound quite happy. I know musical excellence when i hear it, this is pretty damn close i can tell ya. Southwest Voodoo, the clown come originally from southwestr Detroit (gangland), and yes so does M&M or whatever he's called (tosser!?), but unlike slim an*s, they acknowledge there roots and did this song. Doesn't actually make any sense but a damn good tune anyway. (gimme a break here, this is ICP i'm waffling about). Halls of Illusions, My favorite on this album, take an average happy middle class American family, that's the illusion. The reality consists of things like, "back to reality your son's on crack, and your daughter's got nut stains on her back, and they both f*ckin' smell like sh*t and live in the gutter and sell crack to each other." Aaaaah the happy American family ripped to pieces in one wicked little song. Nowt like tellin' it like it is chaps ! (Bet you've all given up by now huh?) Under the Moon, A sad story of love & 2 people sworn to stay together as long as the moon fills the night sky. Obviously it all goes horribly wrong and murder and madness follow there after. What is a Juggalo ?, the clown decide to try and explain what a juggalo is in this happy little number, it transpires that they aint to sure themselves, but what the hell do they care. House of Horrors, picture a carnival if you can ? Picture the fun house ? Now picture the complete opposite, well boogie woo wow, w
elcome to the house of horrors ! Fun, isn't it ? Not if you went there it wouldn't be. Boogie Woogie Wu, this is a cheery piece about the boogie-man ! S'funny, i sing it all the time at work. The Neden Game, anyone ever watched Blind Date ? Ok, this is Blind Date with a polite young lady asking the questions, and Violent J & Shaggy 2 dope doing the answering. I still can't listen to this one without p*ssing myself laughing, never happened listening to Eminenema, but then the clowns don't tend to take themselves very seriously, which adds wonderfully to what they are and what they create. Hellalujah, totally takes the p*ss out of American TV evangelists, with the promise to heal "little Johnathan's crippled ass for just $6000". It's too near the truth, damn scary as the evangelists i've seen are actually like this ! Down with the Clown, Keeping with the hip hop flavour the clown have dedicated this to there fans, (Me and my best mates i think?). Damn nice of 'em. Just like That, er, if anyone knows what this ones about let me know, thanks. Pass me by, the boys end on a semi-serious note, don't let life pass you by, you only get one shot at it, nice mellow tune too! Ok, that's it again for now, if anyone has actually bothered to read this, thanks, i'd appreciate any comments ! I'll religiously keep knockin' these reviews out even though i don't think anybody is particularly arsed? Never know though, i might just convert one of ya, ha ha ha ha ha, wicked clowns ! The disturbed one (straight from the bottom of me heart, which, is better than the heart of me bottom!?)
