The Collection - Kool and the Gang
by ButterBear - written on 10/03/08 (Very useful, 81 readings)
Rating:
particularly fond of Soul, Motown & Funk with a healthy dollop of Disco thrown in. My latest addition to my CD collection, in the disco/funk feel at least, is The Kool & The Gang Collection and it was an absolute bargain at £2 from my local Somerfield store, it can also be found on Amazon for £5.99 new or from 59p Used. The Kool & The Gang Collection is a 13 track CD featuring all the bands biggest hits, recorded live in concert. Ascent Descent E.P. - Atsphear
Juan Dominguez is a strong vocalist for this type of music.
Not particularly strong or inventive material.
Fantasmagorie - Akurat
Fun and skilfully executed modern ska tunes.
Indecipherable lyrics (for non-Poles) and less imaginative reggae sections.
Burn This Town - Battleaxe
Traditional old-school NWOBHM for early eighties fans.
Lacks its own style, and no songs stand out.
Drifted Into Deeper Lands - Alpha Wave Movement
Relaxation music with a little bit extra.
It's only a little bit extra.

All the hits
Couple of weak tracks

Melodic black metal for Christians and non-Christians.
No ideas of its own.
